In Development -DetroitRevival.org

29 December, 2011 (00:58) | My Walk With God | By: Earl J

Precious Friends,

About 3 years ago the Lord put it on my heart to start praying for a revival in Detroit.  My wife and I have been praying for a revival in our city since that time.  We’re believing for  a revival on par with the Great Awakening perhaps the Last Awakening, one that we pay for with tears.

One day I thought “Wouldn’t it be great if I could get the domain name detroitrevival.com?”  So I began searching to see who owned it, to my surprise the domain was in the transitional phase where it was cancelled and waiting for renewal.  Whoever owned the domain never bothered to pick it up so I registered detroitrevival.com and detroitrevival.org.

During the time between then and now I’ve been praying ‘Lord what would you like me to do?’  Yes, I know that I should have seen the forest through the trees and I didn’t develop the site, but kept on renewing it every year.

I don’t believe in coincidences so I figured “if the Lord blessed me and orchestrated the events to get the domains, maybe he’s asking me to develop the site?”

Honestly, I don’t know what is going to happen with the site beyond the first development but while I was speaking with my lovely wife the other day I told her that the only thing that I could compare it to was crossing a river where there are rocks to jump on from one to the next.

For now I can only see one rock, and that is the development of the site, so I plan to jump on it.  From there the Lord will make the next step visible.  The book of Palms tells us:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” -Psalm 37:23

To create the site I needed a few things to get it up and running and to my amazement the Lord put it on someones heart to help me pay for some of the things that were needed to get it going, I didn’t ask anyone for anything (and we never will).  The bible tells me that I can go into ‘the secret place and pray to Him and he will provide everything that I need to complete the mission that He has put on my heart’.

Well from day one He’s proved that He will provide!

To be honest with you I have no idea where it’s going or where it will end up, but one thing that I do know is the Lord will guide me.  He loves us so much!

I need one thing from you, please pray for the site and my family as we embark on something bigger than ourselves, I don’t have all the answers but I know the One who does.

One thing is clear, my goal is to lift up the name of Jesus and let him be glorified through everything that I do.  He paid everything for me, even to the point of death, and I’m so humbled, He deserves everything that I can give from a heart of love.

Most of you know me and clearly my efforts and knowledge are limited, but I find encouragement in this:

“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.” -1 Corinthians 1:27

My goal is to be a simple thing, that God can use! :-)

In the last week I’ve begun the development of our new site and will probably discontinue this blog as soon as the site launches on January 1, 2012.

When the site launches I will be doing most of my blogging over there.

Thanks you very much for your patience and we’re excited to start the ride!

Thanks for your prayers and we love each and every one of you very much.

In Christ,

Earl J

How to Automate Rainbow Keno on Facebook

19 December, 2011 (17:28) | My Walk With God | By: Earl J

To get this done you have to use Firefox because we need a plugin to automate the process.

Once you have Firefox installed go here and get this plugin: CLICK HERE

Install the plugin and restart Firefox.

After restarting Firefox in the top menu go to View>Sidebar> and make sure iOpus iMacros is checked so you can see the plugin.

Once you have this done open up Rainbow Keno (YOU CAN OLY USE 1 TAB, if you need another window to browse in open up another instance of Firefox (CTRL + N)).

Now click the iMacro icon, it should open up in the sidebar.

On the top of the iMacro bar you should see a folder (Favorites) click that folder, now go to the bottom of the iMacros tab and hit the “Rec” tab (the macro is now recording what you do on the screen).  Select the 6 radio button (for 6 numbers).  Now back in the Rec tab hit “Stop” then “Save”.  At the top under the Favorites folder you should see a macro called #Current.iim, click that macro then at the bottom hit the Edit tab then click Edit Macro and a text editor will pop up.  In the text editor erase everything, and after everything is erased past in the following code:

VERSION BUILD=7401110 RECORDER=FX
TAB T=1
WAIT SECONDS=4
FRAME F=7
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:RADIO FORM=ID:mainForm ATTR=NAME:random_tix&&VALUE:7
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=NAME:mainForm ATTR=NAME:wager CONTENT=1
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE FORM=ID:mainForm ATTR=NAME:submit&&VALUE:submit&&SRC:http://www.rainbowkeno.com/app/media/images/site/buy_tickets.jpg

Now, at the bottom of the window hit Save & Close.

Goto your Macro on the to under the Favorites folder and rename it (right click) to 6_Draws.iim

We’re done, now let’s put it to use:

(In the Tickets: and Draws: dropdowns make sure you have them both maxed out)

Select your Macro at the top, then at the bottom go to the ‘Play’ tab, where it says Repeat Macro, change the Max: to 80 and press the Play (loop button).

It should take off and start buying tickets for you.

No more clicking!

When you get to the You Win screen you need to hit play and start this process again until you get to 5000 tickets :-)

Who is Joseph, the Levite from Cyprus?

13 December, 2011 (20:52) | My Walk With God | By: Earl J

Your Name HerePerhaps you would know him better by his new name: “Barnabas”:

Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”),  sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.

-Acts 4:36-37

The book of Revelation tells us:

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

-Revelation 2:17

God wrote a new name on Joseph the Levite, he was known as ‘the son of encouragement’ what an amazing testimony.  He encouraged so many people that the Lord changed his name to encouragement!  Oh that we could live that kind of life!

When my son Joshua was a baby he was always smiling so I called him ‘smiley boy’.

Can I tell you something?

He’s still smiling and it brings great joy to me and the lives of everyone that he smiles at! :-)

Look to the Lord and delight in him, He’ll change your name too!

He loves us very much!

God Might Have Something Better for You…

11 December, 2011 (22:32) | My Walk With God | By: Earl J

My wife always picks on me when we go to a restaurant because I usually get the same thing when it’s time to order because it’s a safe thing for me.  I know what I’m going to get and there is no chance in me getting something that I wouldn’t have liked.

It’s been a long time since my wife and I went out to eat together so we decided to go to Carrabas, just her and I.  The waitress gave us our menus and then came back to take our order, since I wasn’t sure what I was going to have I asked her to give us a little more time.  She came back again and I politely asked her for just another minute.  Finally, my eyes gazed upon the Chicken Trio which is a trio of their chicken dishes (in smaller portions) all on one plate.  I usually get the Pollo Rosa Maria which is a grilled piece of chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and prosciutto, but I’ve always wanted to try the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Bryan now I could, all three were included in the dish.

Wouldn’t you know that there is something better on the menu than my ‘safe play’?  The Chicken Bryan was much better!

It made me think, how many times do we accept second best over God’s perfect will for our lives?  Jesus said:

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”  -Matthew 10:39

He’s not talking about dying and being rewarded in heaven, He’s talking about a better life than we can imagine by fully committing to and doing His will, bringing Him more glory.  Sometimes that ‘narrow road’ will make you uncomfortable, but He will hold your hand and walk closer than ever with you.  I’m not talking about prosperity and ‘things’, Jesus and all of the apostles died poor, things did not make them great, their obedience to the Holy Spirit did.

And just think, I got all this revelation over a plate of chicken, LOL…  The Lord really does use foolish things to confound the wise.  He loves us so much!

Something New that I Learned Today – Revelation 3

7 December, 2011 (20:29) | My Walk With God | By: Earl J

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. -Revelation 3:20

We’ve all heard this scripture, Jesus is speaking to the church at Laodicea, clearly He’ is outside the door knocking and asking to come in.  This isn’t to unbelievers, this is to the ‘angel of the church of Laodicea’, if Jesus is outside your church knocking to get in you’re in trouble, but I’ll save that for another day.

Look at verse 21, it’s almost too powerful for words:

To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. -Revelation 3:21

Can you imagine this?  Jesus in all his glory telling you ‘go ahead son, have a seat, go ahead daughter, I want to share this with you, have a seat’.  I can’t imagine what it will be like to sit on Jesus’ throne, it would be amazing and humbling all at the same time.

I got to sit at the helm of the USS Enterprise one time, it was amazing.  I forget who the Captian was at the time but the bridge called and ordered some pizzas and since I was the low man on the totem pole I got the delivery job.  I walked onto the bridge like a churchmouse, this place was intimidating to say the least so I barely whispered.  The Captain in his graciousness could sense that I was extremely nervous to be there and reached out to me and showed me around ‘go ahead, have a seat…’, it was amazing.

While that was an amazing place to sit I cannot imagine all of the emotions that I will be feeling when the Lord asks me to ‘go ahead and have a seat…’  Fearful and wonderful!

While I was thinking about this verse I imagined myself driving home a new F-50 Ferrarri and asking my son Joshua ‘what do you think of that car son’?  He’d be speechless, then I would toss him the keys and say ‘go ahead buddy, take it for a spin’.  Most likely he would say ‘NO’ but I would let him know that it’s ok, ‘try it out…’  My heart would soar watching him get a chance to drive it!

Isn’t it amazing that Jesus, even though he doesn’t have to, chooses to let us sit in the second most powerful chair in the universe?  He’s so wonderful, He loves to give good gifts to his children!
